He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Cole and Rhoda Cole (Freeman); his son Paul Cole; and his in-laws, Joe and Phyllis Lavery.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Cole; his children, Mark Cole (Traci) and Kelly Campbell (Greg); his stepdaughters, Lisa White (Ed Lewis) and Dawn Thompson (Ryan); and his brother Gary Cole (Thelma). He is also survived by 12 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren, Several nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
