He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Wilhite and Mary Wilhite-Velat; his stepfather Richard A. Velat; his brother Steven Wilhite; and his stepbrother Richard Velat.

He is survived by: his siblings, Larry Wilhite (Donna), Cathy Vargo (Phillip), Sandra Emmendorfer (Chuck) and Susan Tomalia; and his stepsiblings, Russ Velat (Pam), Rebecca Gwinn and Ruth Culhane. He is also survived by Many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
