He was predeceased by : his brother Patrick Burnett; and his father Wilbert Harvey Burnett. He is survived by : his mother Rita Burnett (Palacios) of Burton; his wife Donna J. Burnett; his children, Jessica Hillard of Montrose, Bethany Burnett of Frankenmuth, Abigail Jardine of Canton, Jacob Burnett of Mt. Morris, Richard I. Burnett of Milan and Dr. Joseph Burnett of Morristown, NJ; his grandchildren, Quinn Burnett, Owen, Jack, Rachel Hillard, Donald, Hannah Jardine, Jade and Jerome Burnett; and his siblings, Michael Burnett of Grand Blanc, Steve Burnett (Lynn) of Rocky River, OH, Timothy Burnett of Davison, Connie Burnett of Swartz Creek, Kathy Johnston (Dan) of Fenton, Tina Locke of Flint and Christine Bailey (Todd) of Grand Blanc.
Visitation was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, May 20th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A rosary was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Homes - Clio Chapel (503 N Mill St, Clio, MI 48420). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, May 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church (400 N Saginaw St, Montrose, MI 48457). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Great Lakes National Cemetery (4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442).
