Though Stephen may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Stephen touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Berens and Jane Patricia Berens (Maczka); and his wife Kathy. He is survived by: his children, Theresa Brotherton (Andrew) and Travis Berens; his stepchildren, Brandie Finkbeiner (Dennis) and Howard Bradford (Heather); and his siblings, Antonia Matulaitis (Raymond), Barbara Berens, Deborah Eerdmans, Jim Berens and Joe Berens. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
