For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul Lafata and Mary (Alongi); his wife Mary; his children, Amanda Kocan (Neil), Paul Lafata and Marissa Lafata; and his sister Bernadette Willaert (Robert).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home - Gendernalik Chapel (35259 23 Mile Rd, New Baltimore, MI 48047). A rosary will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. The lying in state will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (95 Market St, Mt Clemens, MI 48043). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location.
