He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Shorkey and Dorothy Shorkey (LeGue); and his siblings, Edith Norton, Bernard Shorkey, Harold Shorkey and Danny Shorkey.
He is survived by: his children, Debby Dempsey, Doug Shorkey (Lisa), Richard Shorkey (Stacey), Tammy Leahy and Michael Shorkey (Pamela); his grandchildren, Danielle Shorkey, Shane Wummel, Ricky Shorkey, Tiara Hickey (Danny), Dylan (Olivia), Jacob Shorkey, Ashlyn Frederick, Destiny Leahy, Hunter Shorkey, Christopher Shorkey, Justin Leahy, Carmela Shorkey and Conner Shorkey; his great grandchildren, Emalynn, Georgette, Richard, Rylee, Elliot and Walker; and his siblings, Albert Shorkey (Kryan) of Mt. Clemens and Kathleen Reigel.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home (233 Northbound Gratiot Ave, Mt Clemens, MI 48043).
