It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Buchanan Moore (Mount Morris, Michigan), born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who passed away on May 10, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Doug was born May 24, 1952 in Sioux Falls, SD. He went to be with the Lord on May 10, 2023. He passed quickly and silently with his love Tina by his side, just two weeks away from his 71st birthday.
He will be sadly missed by many people whom he touched with his kindness. He grew up in Sioux Falls and then our family moved to Scottsdale, AZ where he graduated from Saguaro High 1970 and went on to Arizona State. After graduation he served his country in the US Army in Hawaii during the Vietnam War. After returning home he became a stock broker with his father, John. He did this for many years and then moved to the Laughlin, NV and Bullhead City, AZ area and worked in the Colorado Belle and Edgewater Casinos. In Golden Valley AZ he built his own house from scratch. After many years at the casino he and Tina started their own deli in Golden Valley. After this he and Tina retired and moved to Mt Morris MI. They loved dogs and had them for many years.
Doug is preceded in death by his father, John C. Moore, Jr, and his mother, Mildred
Olson. He is survived by his loving partner of 27 yrs Tina, and his sister Denise, and brothers Duncan and John.
