He is survived by: his wife Toni Dawson; his sons, Freddie Dawson Jr., James Dawson (Kim) and David Dawson (Judy); his grandchildren, Tshara, Aryanna, Justin, Eugene, Cameron, James Perry, Sara, Brianna, Charlie, Devin and Madison; and his siblings, WillaMae, Chester, Glenda, Ronnie and Maria. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 1194 E Mt Morris Rd, Mt Morris, MI 48458. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Flint Memorial Park Cemetery (9506 N Dort Hwy, Mt Morris, MI 48458).
