Richard leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Richard’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Richard will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: James and Marilyn (Casey) Battles; wife: Trudy; children: Richard Jr. (Jennifer) and Brittney (Nate); grandchildren: Lily, Ava, Tahlia, Tristan, Levi, and Charlotte; siblings: Jay, Lisa (Charles), Jeff (Stacy), and Hope; other: Gary Pillow; and many beloved brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 1194 E Mt Morris Rd, Mt Morris, MI 48458. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Project Purple or to the family.
