We announce the death of Richard Edwin Sidam of Mount Morris, Michigan, who passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 76. Richard will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Sidam and Mildred Sidam (Hanes); and his siblings, David, Sharon and Shirley.
He is survived by: his wife Julia D. Sidam; his children, Gina Phelps (Scott), Richard Sidam (Amy), Edwin Sidam (Trina) and Corinna Thayer (Leonard); his siblings, Leora Sidam and Art Sidam (Marilyn); his grandchildren, Autumn, Dayton, Hunter, Scotty, Sammie, Easton, Evryn, Isaak, Tabitha, Selena and Mason; and his great grandchildren, Onastasia and Alexandria. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Miller Road Chapel (8138 Miller Rd, Swartz Creek, MI 48473). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
