She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Kirkpatrick and Ocie A. Kirkpatrick (Fitzpatrick); and her husband Oscar Recker. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Matt, Dane, Cody, Lucy, Alex, Ciara, Kendale Jr., Kyle and Lance.

In honor of her compassionate spirit, memorial donations may be made to Woodland Hospice, whose care and kindness meant so much to Dortha and her family.
