He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Howard and Mary Howard (Finley); his sister Mary Jane (Jerry Darnell); his parents-in-law, Bud and Betty Archey; and his siblings, John (Iva Howard), Marvin (Kathy Howard), Richard Howard, Frances "Fran" Howard and Greg Thrush.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Archey; his sons, Eddie Howard (Jordan Smith) of Beal City, Charlie Howard of Cedar Springs and James Howard (Samantha Hubbard) of Lake Isabella; his grandchildren, Brinlee, Cora, Caige, Lyla, Addison and Oaklynn; his siblings, Mike Howard of Maryland and Nancy Bell of Mt. Pleasant; his in-laws, John, Mary Bretschneider, Carol Thrush, Jim and Kathy Archey; his close friends, Tony and Nita Yager; and his pet Nola. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home (2300 S Lincoln Rd, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Central Michigan Veterans Fund, Commission on Aging, American Legion, or the Eagles of Weidman and Mt. Pleasant.
