With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gladys May Walker of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert H. Winnie and Mable Winnie (Maxon); her husband John Walker; her daughters, Maureen and Laurie Dumdei; her grandson Dylan Walker; and her siblings, Bruce Winnie, Hilda Jean Winnie, Lucille Craven, Earl Winnie, Irene Reed and Helen Winnie.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Reeves (Dan) of Dearborn, Eileen Wagner (Scott) of Hastings, Daniel Walker (Deborah) of Dallas, TX, Michele Kugler (John) of Phoenix, AZ, Bruce Walker (Kathy) of Flint, Sharon Walker Johnson (Jim) of St. Croix and Scott Walker (Anne) of Chicago, IL; and her siblings, Lorraine Withey (Louis) of Edmore and Duane Winnie (Shirley) of Mecosta. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Charles R. Lux Family Funeral Home (2300 S Lincoln Rd, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (302 S Kinney Ave, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858). A graveside service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (1409 N Fancher St, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858). A reception was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lincoln Reception Center (2300 S Lincoln Rd, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858).
