He was predeceased by: his daughter Christine; his brothers, Jim and Tom; and his parents, Thomas Petersen and Gladys Petersen.
He is survived by: his wife Connie; his sons, Marc Petersen (Diana) and Paul Petersen (Stacey); his sister Sonya Newman (Gary); and his friend Coastie. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
