It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kip Sweeney of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on October 21, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Kenneth "Mike" Sweeney and Arlene Sweeney (Billings); and his brother Brian Sweeney. He is survived by : his wife Sharon Sweeney; his children, Ryan Sweeney (Rachele), John Sweeney (Annie), Michelle Ranger (Christopher Walsh), Elise Ranger (Jeremy Mahoney) and Kathryn Ranger-Dewell (Joshua); his siblings, Timothy Sweeney (Jo), Michael Sweeney (Cherie) and Marie Thorne; and his former life partner Beth Schubert.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Kip's name to the St. Michael School Foundation.
