He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Mead and Elsie Mead (Klumpp); his wife Carolyn J. Straus; and his siblings, Virginia Sheldon, Martha O'Brien, Rosie Mead and Donald Mead.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Mead (Karen) of Beal City and Brenda Mead (Michele Durand) of Findlay, OH; his grandchildren, Danielle Mead and Cory Mead (Erin Sowmick); his great grandchild Hayden; his sister Lorraine Payne of Coldwater; and his sister-in-law Jacquie Mead of Hopkins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Beal City Knights of Columbus or St. Joseph the Worker Church.
