With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Jane Becker (Mount Pleasant, Michigan), who passed away on April 18, 2026 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Marie Jane's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Marie Jane has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Shadley and Viola Shadley; her husband Clyde Henry Becker; her sisters, Joyce and Jean; and her son-in-law Steven Knapp.
She is survived by: her children, Calvin Becker (Cheryl) of Florida and Georjean Knapp of Michigan. She is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
After at least one epic fall, she moved to assisted living in 2020 in the middle of a global pandemic, where she continued her knitting and working puzzles for several more years.
