We announce the death of Martin E. Lopez (Mount Pleasant, Michigan), born in Los Angeles, California, who passed away on July 29, 2026, at the age of 68. Martin will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Lopez and Ermila Lopez; his siblings-in-law, Irene Lopez, Gerry Acevez and Frank Cocio; and his parents-in-law, William and Helen Dickerson.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl "Farmer" Lopez; his children, Cierra Lopez, Jennifer Fernandez and James Mussly; his siblings, Juan Lopez, Lilia "Baby" Acevez, Lupe Lopez Portillo (Bob "Smokey"), Rene Lopez (Kathy), Norma Cocio and Monica Lopez; his niece Jessica Lopez; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Dickerson and Roy Dickerson (Jeanette). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his beloved aunts and uncles, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
