He was predeceased by: his parents, John Kent and Jeanette Kent (Hoop); and his siblings, Barbara Dewell, John "Jack" Kent and Gary Kent.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine Klumpp Kent of Mt. Pleasant; his sons, David Kent (Sheryll) of Yellow Springs, OH, Jeremiah Crawford (Michael) of Columbus, OH and Jason Tubbs (Ashley) of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Priscilla Helen Hadap, Gwyneth Hope Tubbs, Matthew Benjamin Tubbs, Grant Michael Tubbs, Faith Elizabeth Tubbs, Jonathan Scott Tubbs, Stephen Bennett Tubbs and Hunter Michael Crawford; and his nephew Timothy Dewell. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
