He was predeceased by: his parents, Marcus Simkins and Alice Simkins (Stadtfeld); his brother Fred; and his brother-in-law Doug. He is survived by: his wife Arlene Carpenter; his children, Julie O'Brien (Don) and Matthew Simkins (Dee); and his grandchildren, Patti Reed (Aaron), Jennifer Douglas (Dave), Nicole Rickett (Josh), Jacob O'Brien, Jack O'Brien and Ryan Simkins. He is also survived by seven brothers and sisters, brothers and sisters-in-law, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
