He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Julius Thelen and Rosa Thelen (Spitzley); his wife Rosemary Simon; his children, Craig Thelen (Christina), Brian Thelen (Maggie), Gina Truxton (Thomas) and Jill Sambaer; his grandchildren, Melanie Randall (James), Eliza Thelen, Connor Thelen, Arianna Myler (Christian), Tyler Truxton (Chloe), Troy Truxton, Lucas Sambaer, Emma Sambaer and Matthew Sambaer; his great grandchildren, Penelope Randall, Taryn Truxton and Caden Truxton; his siblings-in-law, Janice Thelen, Rita Thelen and James Armbrustmacher; and his siblings, Don Thelen (Anne), Stan Thelen, Ken Thelen, Elmer Thelen (Therese), Thelma Simon (Hilary) and Gladys Armbrustmacher.
