He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Wesley Shaner and Winifred Margaret Shaner (Pasco); his son Brian Shaner; and his siblings, Lewis, Alva, Stanley, Kenneth Shaner and Donna Armstrong.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Shaner of Rosebush; and his children, Penny Wisney (Mike) of Mt. Pleasant, Steven Shaner (Kay Hauck) of Rosebush and Heath Shaner (Kate) of Mt. Pleasant. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.
