With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Royal Franklin Baker (Mount Pleasant, Michigan), who passed away on July 4, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Baker and Ethel Baker (Moulton); his wife Eleanor Mitchell of Blanchard; and his brother Charles Baker. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Kevin Mitchell (Jeannie) of Blanchard, Karen Shaw (Daniel) of Blanchard, Denis Mitchell (Michele) of Cedar Lake and James Mitchell of Blanchard; his stepgrandchildren, Anna Castro (Jason), Andrew Shaw, Autumn "Ellie" Mitchell, Jonathan Shaw (Natalie) and Sam Mitchell (Ericka); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Rhea, Sadie Mitchell, Kallie Dunbar (Roger) and Levi Castro; his great great grandchild Noelle Dunbar; and his nephew Charles Baker II (Judith) of Texas.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, and again on Wednesday before the service, beginning at 10 a.m. Memorial considerations may be made to Heartland Hospice.
