He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Zeien and Helen Zeien (Hauck); his brothers, Joseph, William, Fred, Herman and Richard Zeien; his grandson Matthew Sharrar; his parents-in-law, Patrick and Dorotha Fanning; and his in-laws, Angela, Tom Conroy, Patricia Homister, Richard Border and Tom Fanning.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Fanning; his children, Barb Steffke (Mike) of Beal City, Diane Konwinski of Beal City, Dave Zeien (Jamie) of Beal City, Mike Zeien (Danielle) of Mt. Pleasant, Dale Zeien (Sarah) of Beal City, Kim Tilmann (John) of Midland, Sheryl Gottleber (Jason) of Beal City, Brenda Pung (Kris) of Lisle, IL, Jodi Gross (Brad) of Beal City and Laurie Simon of Beal City; his siblings, Teresa Lorenz (Ron) of Beal City and Gerald Zeien (Chris) of Mt. Pleasant; and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Zeien of Mt. Pleasant, Mary Irene Zeien of Beal City and Ernestine Border of St. Louis. He is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two more great-grandchildren.
