Backes of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, born in Alma, Michigan, who passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, George Backes and Donna Backes (Orwig); and her sister Pamela Backes. She is survived by : her daughters, Lori Erskine (Scott Barr) and Heather Schaeffer (Trevor); her grandchildren, Arron Erskine (Bridgett), Derek Erskine (Meg), Jacob Erskine, Taylor Stahl and Madison Lamentola (Zach Trgina); her great grandchildren, Ar'Leenah, Eleanor, Cathryn, Caylin and Carlee; and her siblings, Sandra Foster (Phil) and Michael Backes (Nancy).
