He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Casebeer and Ernestine Casebeer (Klaiber); his brothers, Keith and Kevin; and his sister-in-law Margaret.
He is survived by: his spouse John Dettwiler of Caseyâ. He is also survived by many in-laws; nieces and nephews; cousins; and special friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church of Grand Marais (E21681 Brazel St, Grand Marais, MI 49839). A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Grand Marais Community Center.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the GM Helping Hands Food Pantry at the Lutheran Church or the Burt Township Schools.
