He is survived by: his wife Lori Stein; his daughters, Brenda Walther of Munising and Julie Johnson (Nick) of Marquette; his grandchildren, Alexis Walther of Marquette, Blake Walther of Munising and Lauren Johnson of Marquette; and his sister Penelope Swiech (Paul).

Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bowerman Funeral Home (302 E Superior St, Munising, MI 49862). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Munising Township Cemetery.
