She is survived by: her sons, Jelon Smith of Muskegon Heights, Michigan and Aviance Watts of Muskegon Heights, Michigan; her daughter-in-law Dr. Pam Smith of Muskegon, Michigan; her siblings, Vonda Smith of Muskegon Heights, Michigan, Lisa Buckley (Ishmail) of Denver, Colorado and Terence Bernard Smith (Chandra) of Cincinnati, Ohio.; her nieces and nephews, Teressa Smith (Doug Howell) of Detroit, Michigan, Tracey Williams (James) of Muskegon, Michigan, Alecia Kitchen (Roger), Carla Smith of Muskegon Heights, Michigan, Kendra Love (Kedrick) of Atlanta, Georgia, Kayla Smith of Tucson, Arizona, Maya Buckley of Rome, Italy., Jason Davis, Corey Smith (Sherry) of Muskegon Heights and Malcolm Buckley of Austin, Texas.; her grandchildren, Jalen Smith, Kayden, Jakeil Smith (Kamar) of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Dajanai Foster; her great grandchild Janiayah Smith; her sons, Willie "Will" Sanders and Cameron Carson (Cam); her cousins, Dr. Leon, Barb Smith, Elliot and Doris Russ; and her close friends, Mattie Wilson Stoddard, Veola McCawan, Dave Walker, Rose Smith, Chris Hodges and Dwight Hughey. She is also survived by grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Community Center (95 W Broadway Ave, Muskegon Heights, MI 49444). Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Queen Esther Missionary Baptist Church (2220 Superior St, Muskegon Heights, MI 49444). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Queen Esther Baptist Church (2220 Superior St, Muskegon Heights, MI 49444).
