She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerrit Uythoven and Cornelia Uythoven (DeVette); her husband Gerrit Spoelman of Olaf's Kro Restaurant; her grandmother Ali; and her brothers, Anton, Pete and Gerard.

She is survived by: her children, Ed of Wyoming, MI, Yvonne Veenstra (Tim) of Wasilla, AK and Marcia Ware (Kevin); her grandchildren, Stephanie Bakk (Jason) of Wasilla, AK, Mitchel Veenstra (ZZ) of Anchorage, AK, Nicholas Ware (Haley) and Jesse Ware (Debbie Williams) of Muskegon, MI; her great grandchildren, Marianne and Ayla Bakk; her grandchildren, Elise Veenstra, Luke Veenstra and Alida Ware; and her sister Johanna "Jo" Katerberg of Holland, MI..
