He is survived by: his friend Joyce Hollowell; his close friend Mike Speer; his son Otto Stapel (Leann); his grandchildren, Nik Stapel (Liz), Kacie Scott (Rodger) and Addisyn Davis; his brothers, Dale Stapel and Sherwood DeVisser; and his children, Donnie Stapel Jr. and Kari Davis. He is also survived by many extended family members and close friends.
