It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James E. Ayotte in Muskegon, Michigan, born in Ishpeming, Michigan, who passed away on March 20, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Ayotte and Mary Ayotte (LaCombe); his former life partner Noreen L. Watkins; his stepson Robert Ayotte; his sister Kay; and his brother-in-law Bob Ferenz.

He is survived by : his wife Gwen; his sons, David Ayotte (Julie) and Clifford Ayotte; his grandchildren, Joe, Mike, Brianna, Phillip and Nick; and his sister Mary "Char" Wiersma. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.

Contributions in memory of Mr. Ayotte can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
