He was predeceased by: his parents, David Barnhardt and Shirley Barnhardt (Kinzer); his wife Sharon Barnhardt; his sister Becky Kasch; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Rowe, Joice Masunas (Curt), Richard Rowe, Edward "Butch" Rowe (Betty) and David Rowe.
He is survived by: his children, Troy Barnhardt (Julie), Michelle Colbert, Amy Derby (Bob) and Stacey Sopha (Joshua); his grandchildren, Jessica Wiseman (Tim), Robert Derby (Kelsea), David Derby (Jordyn), Jadyn Sopha, Trinity "Rain" Sopha and Kaia Barnhardt; his siblings, Jonathan "Pete" Barnhardt (Sharon) and Jill Hammock (Ron); and his siblings-in-law, Rita Holub (Joe), Lorrie Rowe and Brian Rowe (Millie). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
