He was predeceased by: his parents, James McWhinnie and Esther McWhinnie; and his granddaughter Kaiya McWhinnie. He is survived by: his wife Jackie; and his children, Alison Ketchum (Jeff), Todd McWhinnie (Kim) and Jason McWhinnie. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
