With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Ann Root of Muskegon, Michigan, who passed away on December 7, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Phyllis Ann is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Phyllis Ann's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Starks & Menchinger Chapel (2650 Niles Rd, St Joseph, MI 49085). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational United Church of Christ - St. Joseph (2001 Niles Ave, St Joseph, MI 49085).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Congregational Church.
