He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Wait and Ruth Wait of Muskegon, Michigan.; and his siblings, Harry, Rex, Jack, Max, Jim and Colleen Reece.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Rob Wait (Christine), Rhonda Nyenhuis (Bob), Randy Wait (Rhonda), Michael Wiltzer (Nicole) and April Wiltzer-Spohn (Gains); his grandchildren, Robert (Charlie), Olivia Schreiner (Dylan), Jackson Wait, Chantel Taylor (Frank), Caleb Nyenhuis (Kiley), Taylan Nyenhuis (Ellen), Tara Nyenhuis (Casey Meyer), Connor Wait (Maddie), Jadyn Wait (Thadd Waalkes), Bella Wiltzer and Lily Spohn; his great grandchildren, Sylvie Schreiner, Myla, Carson Nyenhuis, Lincoln, Angus, Noelle Taylor and Lena Nyenhuis; his siblings, Gary Wait (Sandy) and Sue Schaafsma Nelson (Ted); his sister-in-law Nancy Waite; his siblings' children, Sheri and Brian Rosema; and his friends, Bruce Costen, Jud Gebben and Jack VanEden. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the VanderLaan Funeral Home (4917 32nd Ave, Hudsonville, MI 49426). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
