It is with sadness that the passing of Robert Johnson of Muskegon, Michigan is shared. Robert passed away on September 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Treat Paine Johnson and Sally Johnson (Hook); and his sister Trudy Jo Thinnes. He is survived by: his wife Susan Stine-Johnson; his children, Jennifer Johnson (Joe Firestone) of Robert, T. P, Amanda St. John, Jeffery Stine (Tracy) and Joseph Stine (Jennifer); his grandchildren, JaNee, Samantha, Hayden, Brandon, Cameron, Sydney, Isaiah, Spencer, Jeremiah, Erica, Tate and Emilio; his great grandchildren, Josiah, Brendon, JaiAnna, Blake, Journni, Akari, Kingston and Jeremiah; his sister Roberta Cederquist (Hap); and his siblings-in-law, Tom Thinnes, Bill Hess (Terry) and Roberta Altimus (Dennis). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A rosary was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 8:15 PM at the Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services (737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (239 W Clay Ave, Muskegon, MI 49440).
In lieu of church flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or The Harbor Hospice Foundation.
