Robert Kenneth Terpstra Obituary
We announce the death of Robert Kenneth Terpstra of Muskegon, Michigan, who passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 82. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Terpstra and Margaret Terpstra (Brouwer); and his sister Louise (Bill Turner). He is survived by: his children, Melissa Wood (Ron), Craig Terpstra (Kirsten) and Kevin Terpstra (Becky); his stepdaughter Joya Bandstra; and his siblings, Elaine Brunink (Don), Martha Hemily (Tom), Charles Terpstra (Gail) and Doug Terpstra (Terry). He is also survived by six grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Westminster Presbyterian Church (47 Jefferson Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503). A reception will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park, and to the Love is Love fund at the Muskegon Community Foundation.
