He was predeceased by: his father Eugene Sheffer; and his brother Rick Sheffer. He is survived by: his children, Derrick Sheffer and Desera Sheffer; his grandchildren, Jordynn, Jayce, Dustin and Phoenix; his mother Carol Ann Van Hoven; and his siblings, Randy Sheffer (Angie) and Robin Stenberg (Rodney). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family in care of Desera Sheffer.
