He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Dorothy (White); his siblings, Nancy Bailey, Cathy Curtis, Timothy Karafa and William Karafa; his nieces, Sharon and Amanda Karafa; his great-nephew Justin Kroupa; and his great-niece Tonya Kroupa.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his sister Janet Larson; his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Herbert and Bonnie Karafa; his nieces and nephews, Stephanie Walker (Karen), Melanie Young, TJ Karafa and Joshua Karafa (Kristan); his grandchildren, Afton, April, Skylar (Brock), Braden Karafa, Kate, Kaden and Madelyn; and his great grandchildren, Lainey, Keelyn, Kambrie and Hadlee. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
