He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Torrey and Rose Torrey; his former life partner Lois Torrey; his siblings, Max and Sally; and his brother-in-law Bob Pletcher.

He is survived by : his children, Tom (Denise), Ted (Dian), Terry (Linda), John (Mary), Raymond Chastain, David Chastain and Char Pitre (Don); his siblings, Bruce (Mary), Karen Pletcher and Karen Torrey; and his pets, Patches and Coco. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren.
