Thomas Bruce Shatney Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Shatney and Martha Shatney (Pastoor); his siblings, Barry Shatney and Cheryl Shatney; his children, Lee Shatney and Kelly Genther (Keith); his grandson Eric Genther; his great grandchild Kaydon Regnier; his parents-in-law, Charles and Mabel Fairchild; and his sister-in-law Charlene Sartwell.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Shatney (Fairchild); his children, Kimberly Salacina (Larry Range) and Kevin Shatney (Amy); his sisters, Sonja Dykstra (Bill) and Candy Chase (Ed); his grandchildren, Alissa Wyant, Adam Wyant, Nicole Shatney (Jeff Gable), Cody Shatney (Kaitlyn), Angela Rock (Keith), Jeremy Shatney (Rachel), Heather Shatney (Matt), Hunter Shatney (Catherine) and Felicia Shatney (Adolfo); his stepgrandchildren, Hannah Weinrick-Soros and Lexi Weinrick; his children-in-law, Keith Genther and Sherry Shatney Meidema; and his siblings-in-law, Thomas Fairchild (Rick Fairchild), Connie Fairchild and Vivian Rellinger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; as well as 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (263 S Elm St, Hesperia, MI 49421).
