He is survived by: his son Daniel Hiner; his granddaughter Alana Stoutjesdyk; and his siblings, Linda Fonger, Charles "Chuck" Hiner (Lily), Edward Hiner (Sally) and John Russell Jr. (Kim). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
