He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thiry and Viola Thiry (Fett); his grandsons, Benjamin Otradovec and Christopher Thiry; his brothers, Bill Thiry and Jimmy Thiry; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Slawinowski, Ronald Jenkins and Charlie Hart.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine LaBelle; his children, Linda Triest (Jeff), Peggy Folcik (Tom), Gerald Thiry (Julie), Wayne Thiry (Michelle), Mary Ingell (David) and Donna Plutchak (Chris); and his siblings, Cecilia Jenkins, Delores Hart, Cliff Thiry (Darlene) and Tom Thiry. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren.
