He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ypma and Loretta Ypma (Martin); and his brother Richard Ypma. He is survived by: his wife Penelope; his son Mikey LaFountain (Lisa Wilcokson); his stepdaughters, Laura Lee Merchant and Crystal Skinner; his stepgrandchildren, Eddie Raymond, Jesse Merchant, Claire Merchant and Sandy Ypma-Enders (Robert); and his close friend Craig Culver (Vickie).
