John A. Thompson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John A. Thompson of National City, Michigan, who passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Thompson and Helen Thompson; his wife Linda Thompson; his sister Norma Vanduser; and his son-in-law Mark Coggins.
He is survived by: his children, Jaynie Coggins and Ben Thompson (Lisa); his siblings, Robert Thompson and Patricia Swartz (Ken); his grandchildren, Kristine Cooper, Bryan Chambers (Chelsey) and Corinne Thompson; his great grandchildren, Emma, Allyson, Lily, Aubrey, Cole and Brynn; and his nephews, Rob Sharpe, David Sharpe and Chad Thompson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Buresh Funeral Home - Tawas City (416 Whittemore St, Tawas City, MI 48763). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
