James Burton Keplinger Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Burton Keplinger in Negaunee, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 10, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Keplinger and Esther Keplinger (Rieder); his sister Sandra Keplinger; his in-laws, Arne, Martha Sturos, Marianne, Arnold Peterson, Robert, Maria Sturos, Thomas Sturos and Carol Plough; and his son Caleb.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Sturos; his children, Janelle Lehtola (John), Loren (Kristen), Guy (Kymberlie), Burton (Sarah), Galen (Megan), Greta Huhta (Peter), Beth Ojala (David), Lars (Katie), Leanne Ojala (Peter), Jared (Erin), Emily Hill (Michael) and Rachel; his brother Wayne (Karen); and his in-laws, John Sturos (Carol) and Lowell Plough. He is also survived by 70 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren.
