The passing of Marlys Roberts of Negaunee, Michigan leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on July 26, 2025 at the age of 82. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hilda Ojala (Sironen) and Sanford Ojala. She is survived by: her siblings, Lois, Sharon, Elaine, Alice, Sara, Leah, Dan and Jim; her husband Lance Roberts of Ishpeming; her children, Beth Roberts of Marquette, Meredith Roberts (Dag Juhlin) of Woodstock and Lance J. Roberts Jr. (Susan Spaulding) of Negaunee; and her grandchildren, Rosalie, Ivan Starenko, Sophie, Kai Juhlin, Miles Spaulding and Maija Roberts. She is also survived by her eight siblings, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (333 E Ridge St, Ishpeming, MI 49849). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to The Alzheimer's Association, Bethel Lutheran Church in Ishpeming, or National Public Radio.
