He was predeceased by: his brothers, Arthur and James Mattson. He is survived by: his nieces, Cindy Etten of Marquette and Diane Lealos (Mike) of Kettering, Ohio; his nephew Jim Mattson (Sherry) of Sands Township; and his close friend Mary Ann Laukka. He is also survived by several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fassbender Swanson Hansen Funeral & Cremation Services (926 N 3rd St, Marquette, MI 49855). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Negaunee Historical Society Museum, 303 East Main Street, Negaunee, MI 49866.
