He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter and Evelyn (Couture); and his brother David Van De (late Sandra). He is survived by : his wife Annette; his children, Chuck (Nicole), Dennis (Jagjit), Paul (Nora) and Janet Briles (Paul); his grandchildren, Allen, Adam, Charlie, Savannah, Ryan and Katie; and his siblings, Sharon Kowaleski (Pat), Ronald (Susan), Judy Terenzi (John De Quick) and James Van De Winkle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home - Gendernalik Chapel (35259 23 Mile Rd, New Baltimore, MI 48047). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
