He was predeceased by: his parents, Eleanor Stella Stopczynski and Bogacki; and his brothers, Richard (MaryAnn) and John Stopczynski (Wanda). He is survived by: his children, Leonard (Gail) and Lynn Burgtorf (Kirt); his grandchildren, Jason (Tina), Lauren (Andy), Luke (Jen) and Stacey; his great grandchildren, Ada, Gabriella, Abigail, Addison, Charolette, Isacc and Elios; and his friend Mary Marchin.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home-Gendernalik Chapel (35259 23 Mile Rd, New Baltimore, MI 48047). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
